Volkswagen introduced its premium luxury sedan model Phaeton at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 earlier this year in January. The model was launched in the Indian market with much fanfare and now the model is on display at the showrooms. Volkswagen Phaeton is available for the Indian customers with a price tag of Rs. 76,29,128 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Volkswagen Phaeton in India is powered by 3.6L V6 petrol engine that delivers maximum power of 280 PS (206 KW) @ 6250 rpm and maximum torque of 370 Nm @3500 rpm which is mated with 6-speed tiptronic transmission.
The latest luxury model from Volkswagen features fluidic exteriors and features like Bi-Xenon headlights with cornering lights, head light washers, day time running lights, ORVMs with integrated turn signals. The interiors bespeak of plush luxury features viz. park distance control, front & rear, with rear view camera, ‘sensitive’ leather upholstery, anti-theft alarm system with interior monitoring, telephone preparation with blue-tooth, 18-way front seat adjustment with memory function, RNS810 music system with 10 loudspeakers, navigation & USB and Genuine poplar wood inserts with analogue clock in the dashboard.
The model is complete with additional safety features like ABS, ESP, EDL, ASR with 8 airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system.
