Maruti Suzuki recently launched the updated version of its sedan model SX4 in India. It comes with VVT engine with an option of automatic transmission. The overseas model of Suzuki SX4 model is a compact hatchback / crossover model. It is available as 2WD and 4WD. There are four models offered with SX4 2WD. It is available as 2.0L DOHC engine which is a bullet proof, smooth running power train. It delivers power of 150hp which is up from 143 and its fuel economy is at least 10 percent more than before.

The base model comes with standard 6-speed manual transmission but its other models JX, Aero and JLX come with new Constantly Variable Transmission. The new mechanism offers seamless power delivery to the wheels by changing of gears with belts and pulleys. The latest design has been designed by renowned designer Giorgetto Giugiaro, head of ItalDesign which is inspirational hub for automakers like Lamborghini and Ferrari.

The Indian model of Maruti Suzuki SX4 comes with a new 1.6-litre DOHC engine with variable valve timing, producing 103bhp and is Bharat Stage –IV ready. The automatic transmission is also available with an option of leather upholstery.
