A nip and tuck later, its the all new Santro!

Hyundai Motors India Limited will launch its new Santro by the end of this year. It was previously thought that after the launch of the i10 and consequently the i20, the Santro would be phased out. But after a decade and the launch of newer versions, the Santro will be revamped to stay in the Indian market.

The Santro is one the the highest selling cars in the country. It was first introduced here, in 1998 to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Zen. Although both its successors are doing well for HMIL, they have chosen to keep the Santro going, with a change in the body. However, nothing under the hood will be upgraded.
