With a great reputation overseas, Fiat is launching its first hatchback, the Grande Punto, in India. This is the very model that saved Fiat from bankruptcy and thus has much to live upto.

With EURO NCAP 5 star ratings, it sure will be one safe car. Active, Dynamic and Emotion will be the three variants with a 1.2l petrol and 1.4l petrol in the last two models respectively. A 1.3l multi-jet diesel engine variant will also be manufactured. The petrol version is expected to be priced at Rs 4.5 - 6.0 lakh and the diesel between Rs 5.25 - 6.5 lakh.

Rolling out early June, from Fiat's Ranajangaon plant, its one to look out for.
