Ford India to launch advanced version of Endeavour this month; no plans to phase out Fusion

Car company Ford India will be launching a new, advanced version of its SUV, the Ford Endeavour, this month. Speaking to media persons at the sidelines of the annual convention of SIAM last week, Mr Michael Boneham, President and Managing Director of Ford India, said that the company would launch a new version of the Endeavour within two weeks, but that it had no plans to phase out the Ford Fusion.

Mr Boneham also said that the company's planned small car will be launched in early 2010 and will be exported to countries in Asia Pacific and Africa by the end of 2010. The small car will fall under the sub-B segment and will have engine capacities of 1.2 L for the petrol variant and 1.5 L for the diesel variant. Meanwhile, Ford India will also start exporting diesel and petrol engines manufactured at its Chennai plant by the beginning of 2010.
